New PPS Press Brake for Cost-Efficient Bending
The PPS is available in six models from 50 to 200
metric tons and is offered in manual and CNC configurations with a
choice of single position display or CNC with touch screen. The touch
screen control employs the same infrared touch screen technology used
reliably on several LVD products.
Easy to use software developed by LVD allows for fast
and simple programming with minimal training. The software allows quick
programming of simple parts and is suitable for all levels of users.
Machine options include manual adjustable crowning table, Lazer Safe guarding system, and a choice of tooling styles.

PPEB Press Brakes provide the ultimate in
flexible automation and advanced production techniques.
Servo-controlled with state-of-the-art hydraulics and electronics, the
PPEB press brake is built on a rigid frame design to ensure precision.
Standard machines are available in working lengths from 1,5 to 15 m and
80 - 640 tons. Available with up to 9 axis. Custom models are available
for special applications.
Sheet Support Systems-
Sheet support systems aid in one-person operation and enhance angle
repeatability, part quality, operator safety, and ease of material
handling. Front, CNC and pneumatic sheet supports are available.
PPEC Press Brakes
The PPEC combines a servo-controlled
press brake with a maximum Y1-Y2, X, R configuration with the new
CADMAN® Express CNC control. It is available in capacities from 90 to
240 tons and bed lengths from 2000 to 4000 mm.
A solid two-axis backgauge allows depth (X-axis) and height (R-axis) positioning of the two standard backgauge fingers. Backgauge fingers are prestressed, preventing them from moving out of position. The standard PPEB backgauge with three gauge positions allows gauging to 1000 mm using material supports.

PPRM Press Brake
LVD's PPRM press brake provides high production
rates with less time required for a typical bend cycle than most
conventional hydraulic machines.
The PPRM is a 35-ton machine with a working length of
1250 mm. A reluctance motor hydraulic system achieves higher bending
speeds because there is no lapsed time in the cycle of the ram caused-by
mechanical movement of the valves. Single acting hydraulic cylinders
also contribute to the machine's higher production speeds.
The PPRM is designed for efficiency and long
production life. The press brake consumes less energy - typically 30
percent less than conventional hydraulic press brakes. There are no
mechanical components such as ball screws or gearboxes to wear, and no
friction in gearboxes or ball screws which can reduce accuracy. The
machine features a 100 mm throat allowing access to both ends of the ram
and bed for tool loading. It is equipped with LVD's easy-to-use CADMAN ®
Express CNC control, a Windows" based system with a user friendly
interface for all levels of programming experience. The PPRM press brake
is compact and portable, and can be easily relocated using a forklift.
Cadman-CNC Control
All PPEB press brakes feature the
exclusive Cadman-CNC control. This powerful Pentium-based PC control
features a Windows® operating system and Cadman-B automatic programming
software. The control creates and stores interactive databases for bend
allowance, angle corrections and spring-back. These user-generated
databases, created by actual bending results, are searched and applied
each time a part program is generated. This automatic optimization
eliminates trial bending and reduces the time required to produce a
quality part.
Easy Form Measuring System
The patented Easy Form measuring system
tracks the plate during the bending process and transmits digital data
in real time to the CNC control. The control then recalculates the depth
adjustment to obtain the correct angle in real time with no process
interruption and no loss of production time. This results in constant
bend angles regardless of material variation, avoiding costly
trial-and-error bending.

Laser Safe guards
The Laser Safe system, available on all
PPEB press brakes, works by projecting a flat visible laser beam along
the blade, in the horizontal plane 9 mm from the tip of the blade. The
laser beam is mounted with the blade so that as the blade moves toward
the bed, so does the beam. If the beam is obstructed, the blade or bed
immediately stops and reverses direction a few millimeters. The blade
cannot make contact with an obstruction.
When Laser Safe is used, the operator does not have to move out of the safety zone, and the changeover point does not have to be programmed to above the customary 6 mm. When bending 3D work pieces, the ram can even move at high speed when it is operating within the upright flanges. The Laser Safe system is double redundant to ensure optimum safety.
